Shubin Law Group is a Florida-based firm known for sophisticated real estate litigation and land use and zoning work. We represent clients on complex commercial, regulatory, and litigation matters that demand rigorous legal analysis, strong writing, and direct, practical engagement with clients and opposing counsel.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a litigation associate with 5 to 8 years of experience in real estate litigation and/or commercial litigation to join our team in the Miami office. This is a hands-on role for an attorney who is ready to take real ownership of matters: managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive motions, and arguing summary judgment. Our caseload spans real estate litigation and other complex commercial, regulatory, and litigation matters, so the ideal candidate is comfortable handling a varied and challenging set of litigation matters.

What You’ll Do
• Manage discovery in complex litigation, including document production, written discovery, and privilege review
• Take and defend depositions
• Draft motions, briefs, and other dispositive and non-dispositive filings
• Argue summary judgment and other motions in court
• Produce high-quality written work product under deadline pressure
• Interface directly with clients and opposing counsel throughout the life of a matter
• Prioritize and manage a varied caseload of real estate litigation and other complex commercial, regulatory, and litigation matters

What We’re Looking For
• 5 to 8 years of real estate litigation and/or commercial litigation experience
• Significant experience with litigation procedures, including drafting motions and managing discovery in complex cases
• Exceptional academic background
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Demonstrated ability and desire to work directly with clients and opposing counsel, not just support partners behind the scenes
• Strong communication skills and close attention to detail
• A genuine commitment to client service and to the firm’s involvement in the community
• Ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize competing matters and deadlines
• Responsive, reliable, and comfortable working independently once given direction
• Good standing with The Florida Bar

Shubin Law Group is a Florida-based firm known for sophisticated real estate litigation and one of South Florida’s most prominent land use and zoning practices. We advise developers, property owners, and investors on the full range of entitlement, zoning, and regulatory matters that determine whether and how a project can move forward.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a mid- to senior-level associate to join our Land Use and Zoning practice. This is a client-facing advisory role, not an application-processing position: the associate will work directly with developers, property owners, and investors on zoning, land use, and development-related matters, including site plan and entitlement strategy, permitting, and regulatory compliance. The associate will work closely with clients and project teams to navigate local and state government processes and will provide strategic guidance on development risk and regulatory positioning, not just procedural execution. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate seeking meaningful responsibility and broad exposure to land use and development matters within a well-established, regionally recognized practice. The attorney will be resident in our Miami office.

What You’ll Do
• Advise developers, property owners, and investors on zoning, land use, and development-related matters
• Evaluate site plan and entitlement considerations and develop strategy around them
• Manage permitting and regulatory compliance processes
• Navigate local and state government approval processes on behalf of clients
• Attend public meetings, hearings, and other proceedings before local boards and agencies
• Draft applications, agreements, correspondence, and other work product supporting entitlement and development matters
• Provide clients with practical, risk-aware guidance on regulatory positioning, not just procedural updates
• Work closely with project teams, including planners and other consultants, to keep matters moving on schedule

What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of experience practicing land use and zoning law
• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to advise clients directly on strategy, not only execute on instructions
• Comfort working with government staff, elected and appointed boards, and community stakeholders
• Strong academic record preferred
• Admission to The Florida Bar
