Dylan Helfand represents clients in commercial, real estate, and appellate litigation. With eight years of experience spanning trials and appeals in both Florida and New York, Dylan offers a well-rounded perspective on litigation in state and federal courts. He advises developers, property owners, businesses, and municipalities on disputes involving development approvals, zoning, permitting, and complex real estate issues.

Prior to joining the Firm, Dylan practiced at both a national firm in its Miami office and at a boutique litigation firm in New York.  While in law school, Dylan served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Cathy L. Waldor, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Dylan is a native of Miami. He enjoys spending his down time cooking for his friends and family and cheering on the Florida Gators, particularly on Saturdays in the Fall.

  • Weiss v. Ransom Everglades School, Inc. (Fla. 3d DCA 2023): Represented Ransom Everglades School, Inc., in an appeal involving the trial court’s adjudication of claims involving alleged breach of contract and alleged covenants running with the land, resulting in affirmance of the dismissal of all claims against Ransom.
  • Represented Oakland 95, LLC, a property owner, in a multi-jurisdictional access dispute with Oakland Park involving long-standing ingress and egress rights to a landlocked industrial property spanning two cities.
  • Representation of the City of Miami Beach in litigation regarding Setai Resort’s challenge of the development plans for the Bvlgari Hotel.
  • Successfully represented the plaintiff in Townsend v. New York City Housing Authority, obtaining reversal of a summary judgment entered in NYCHA’s favor. Appealing to the Appellate Division, First Judicial Department, the appellate court reinstated the claims based on legal theories, which the trial court had erroneously disregarded.*
  • Successfully defended an appellate ruling affirming the denial of summary judgment, preserving the plaintiff’s claims for trial.*
